Thumbalina Thumb Rest/Support Page

This simple and yet effective device neutralizes the tendency of the flute to want to roll into your hand.
The above photo shows how the installed Thumbalina looks on my own flute.
The device is mounted to the flute tube by a strong double sided adhesive tape.
The installation is semi permanent. If you try to remove the device, damage to the Thumbalina may occur.
Teachers tell me that their students' hand positions have improved.
This is not magic or a miracle device that will eliminate all known hand issues.

Thumbalina Installation Instructions
There is a top side and a bottom side. The top side has a mark to help identify it. The bottom side is where your thumb touches the Thumbalina.
Using the above photograph as a rough guide, select a comfortable location on the flute tube before removing the pink plastic film from the adhesive surface of the tape. For testing the chosen location, you may lightly touch the adhesive tape to the flute allowing you to relocate the Thumbalina if the location does not suit you. When you are confident that the position is good for you, then press the Thumbalina tightly to the flute body to securely affix the support.
