FIRE ASSAY - Mineral Sample Price
Gold and Silver - Ore grade, standard assay for rocks, soils, drill core, or pan concentrates. Crucible method with metal oxide collector. Lower reporting limit: 0.001 oz/ton. Send 8 oz to 1 Lb sample. For geological materials - soils, rocks, drill core, pan concentrates. Confidential one party report for prospectors, exploration geologists, and mining engineers. Not for gems, meteorites, or other items of intrinsic value. 29.17 gram test. $40.00
Gold and Silver - High grade ore concentrate, heavy sulphides. Lower reporting limit: 0.1 oz/ton. For geological materials - soils, rocks, drill core, pan concentrates. Not for gems, meteorites, or other items of intrinsic value. Confidential one party report for prospectors, exploration geologists, and mining engineers. $70.00
SPECIAL PROJECTS - Processed Materials, Acceptance Subject to Inspection of Submitted Material Price
Gold or Silver - Metal product, filter residue, experimental samples, other non-mineral material. Minimum dry sample size: 30.0 grams. Lower detection limit: 0.1 oz/ton. Confidential one party report for prospectors, exploration geologists, and mining engineers. $90.00
Hallmark Assays - Please request a copy of the assay certificate from the manufacturer before drilling a hallmarked bar. Removing metal for assay voids the weight certification of a marked ingot. An assayer or refiner registered with a recognized metal exchange for good delivery is the best choice for hallmarking unmarked bullion bars. Not Available
Fire assay is the standard test for precious metals, reporting Au. and Ag. in troy oz. per ton. Metal oxide collector with gravimetric or spectrometer finish. Fire assay provides a reliable test for precious metals in minerals and reports troy oz./ton. Prices are for type of sample indicated and may be higher for other materials. Send 8 oz. to 1 Lb. samples except minimum 2 oz. for concentrate. For geological materials - soils, rocks, drill core, pan concentrates. Not for gems, meteorites, or other items of intrinsic value. One party report is provided solely for the private use of prospectors, exploration geologists, and mining engineers.

    Platinum Group Metals

For geological materials - soils, rocks, drill core, pan concentrates. Fire assay (Au. inquart for Rh.) and x-ray spectrometer finish, reporting troy oz. of metal per ton of mineral. Lower reporting limit: 0.1 oz/ton; semiquantitative below 0.1 oz/ton. Send 8 oz to 1 Lb. sample, except concentrates: 4 oz sample. Not for gems, meteorites, or other items of intrinsic value. DETAILS:

    OPTIONAL SAMPLE PREPARATION CHARGES: OPTIONS:

    SHIPPING SAMPLES:
    • Samples of sand, soil, or small rocks may be sent in thick plastic bags (freezer bags) and shipped Federal Express, UPS, or mailed in a padded envelope or box. Heavy rock samples over 2" across should additionally be wrapped in newspaper, bubble wrap, or cloth and boxed to avoid packaging failure in transit. All samples must be dry for faster turnaround and to avoid drying charge.
    • Sample delivery may be acknowledged by e-mail inquiry to: labfire at lycos.com
    • Lab turnaround estimate is not a firm deadline; rich or complex ores, or non-geologic materials may require more time. Prices are per sample for basic data reported in ppm, troy oz/ton, or percent. Prices may change without notice except that prices in effect at sample shipment will apply regardless of price change before or after sample delivery.
    • All tests are destructive and are not appropriate for gems, meteorites, or other objects of high intrinsic value. Determination of the suitability of data for client's objectives remains the client's responsibility. In event of data dispute, we may retest or refer sample to another lab for retesting at client's expense, at our option. If the purpose of data is to establish a value for a transaction, each party should obtain their own independent assays from different assayers, and also obtain engineering, cost, and feasibility studies before deciding to invest.

    WHEN TO EXPECT TEST RESULTS:
Lab turnaround: 2 to 3 weeks for rock, soil or drill core.
If we are able to complete your order in less time, we will mail the report sooner.

    INTERNATIONAL ORDERS AND PAYMENTS:
We recommend DHL or Federal Express for all international shipments with reports sent by e-mail. International payments can be made by check or money order drawn from a US bank, or e-mail us at labfire at lycos.com for wire transfer details. Please mark customs declaration value: "None", and "Mineral for testing only". Please remove organic material - plant debris, leaves, roots, twigs, insects, etc., from sample material.

EXPERIMENTAL COMPOUNDS, METAL POWDERS, PRODUCTS, OTHER NON-MINERAL SAMPLES:
Please notify us in your order if the sample shipment is not soil material. If a product or processed material is submitted, please include two calibration standards from the same material, for each element sought. If no calibration standards are included with non-mineral samples or if processing the order would consume extra time or be economically impractical, then at our option we may either reject the shipment or perform a qualitative or semiquantitative analysis, reporting only the elements present and/or relative concentrations.

    SAMPLE STORAGE:
Sample pulps are stored for 30 days. Rejects are discarded after sample preparation. Samples received without payment will be stored for 30 days. We recommend submitting a portion of sample for testing and retain the balance for reference or future testing.

    SAMPLE RETURN:
For pulp return after testing, add $10.00 for first sample plus $2.00 per sample for each additional sample in same shipment, for return of up to 8 oz. of pulp by mail, we pay postage. Rejects and excess sample are not returnable. Sample pulps are returned to US addresses only. Samples are discarded after 30 days unless return costs are included in the original order. Please include payment with order - we accept personal checks, company checks or money orders. (Sorry, no credit cards).
Exploration assay reports are preliminary data for prospecting and exploration use. Not for unregistered investment offers to the public. All reports are confidential and are not provided for EPA, FDA or similar regulatory use. Click Here for Additional Terms and Conditions
