Here is my first major creation for the Palm, called Tower of the Sorcerer.
Download the PRC file: Tower.PRC
This game was originally created as freeware for the PC, by Oz and Kenichi. Check out their site for the original Tower of the Sorcerer. My adaptation of the game for Palm is a near perfect copy. However, all source code is my own. In fact, I've never seen their source code. Any guides you may find for their game apply to mine as well.
Since the original PC game is freeware, I've decided that my adaptation for the Palm should also be freeware. Currently, only 10 levels have been completed, and even in that, a few things from the original are missing, though they don't affect the stats, so the existing walkthroughs still apply. The remaining 50 levels will be completed someday (soon) hopefully, though it depends on how much time I can get, since work (the kind that pays) keeps me pretty busy.
Someday, I hope to create a level editor, so that people can create their own layouts and puzzles. This editor (and the ability to play the created levels) will be available for people to purchase. In this way, while the original 50 levels will be just as free as the original PC game, I can still hope to make some money for my efforts. Of course, this is all someday.
I would very much like to hear what you think of this game. Please send comments to jerramy@nethere.com.
Version History:
v1.11 (1/16/2004) - Fixed a bug with the Altar, making the game way too easy. As anyone who's played the PC version could tell you, altar prices are supposed to double every time you visit. So for those of you who complained that the game was too easy, try it now! It should be much more challenging (though still possible).
v1.10 (1/12/2004) - Added color support! Of course, these colors may be hideous, as I'm fairly color blind. Let me know which things are ugliest, and I'll go about changing them.
v1.02 (1/9/2004) - Added support for Zire keys. Also displayed the damage taken during battle.
v1.01 (1/8/2004) - Added a plea for people to contact me. Hasn't seemed to have had much of an effect... :o(
v1.0 (1/8/2004) - Initial release.
pre-v1.0 - These might be floating around out there somewhere, as I had placed a few copies up on the OnboardC forum for people to evaluate. They're not versioned, and are a tad bit ugly.
