SDUPS has OVER 40 years of History . (est. 1961). The SDUPS meets in Sumner Auditorium of Scripps Institution of Oceanography, at 7:00pm on the fourth Thursday of most months (exceptions: November - third Thursday because of Thanksgiving, and December, Installation Banquet and Christmas party, and perhaps any other month where a boat trip was scheduled on the day of a general meeting, so please check the EVENTS CALENDAR. If you are unfamiliar with Scripps, click on SIO CAMPUS MAP  to get a better image of where SIO is located along LaJolla Shores Drive.
Meetings open with a DIGITAL show prelude composed of digital images from any member who wishes to contribute to it.
