BOAT DIVES: Dive trips aboard the Horizon Charters here in San Diego H&M Landing, and a trip aboard one of Truth Aquatics dive boats to dive and photograph the northern Santa Barbara Channel Islands.

MONTHLY MEETINGS: These meetings are a great time to ask questions and to compete with your great images. In order to learn and display your images, we have 5-min presentations given by you a member of SDUPS. Presentations are: Travel Log, Digital Show, My Favorite Photos, Tech-Talk, Photo-Tips and a VIDEO presentation. We will also have a monthly competition for points.

WEEKLY BEACH DIVES: 7AM Sunday. Please come and take pictures of the marine life inhabiting the underwater park of San Diego La Jolla submarine canyon.

WORKSHOPS: We need several volunteers who would like to share their knowledge on any photographic subject or tools of the trade. I would like to see a Photoshop workshop, maybe a basic photography workshop, and maybe a digital presentation workshop as well. 

FILM FESTIVALS: SDUPS  has an annual Film Festival to exhibit our still images and DVD videos for the public.  Members use a software program called ProShow to display their digital images. Those members doing video, just author their videos onto a DVD disk. 

I hope you came to enjoy our artists' visions of the colorful marine life large and small, from such exotic locales as the tropical waters of the Indo Pacific and Caribbean to the temperate waters of North America, and of course our own backyard, San Diego.
