
SDUPS General Meeting Schedule of Agenda
- A social hour from 6:00pm - 7:00pm will proceed the meeting
- Refreshments will be available by 6:30pm
- The Membership Director and other Directors will greet everyone as they
enter Sumner Auditorium. Guests and new members will be introduced by a
Director rather than by self introduction.
- From 6:45pm - 7:00pm there will be a lights on slide show "Getting
to Know SDUPS Members" and club activities
- The meeting starts on time at 7:00pm with the usual film slide prelude.
- There will be 5 presentations (mostly by club members) during each monthly
meeting (a Travel Log, "My Favorite Photos", a Video Presentation,
a Technical Presentation, and a Digital Slide Show such as ProShow or
equivalent. These will all be short presentations.
- There will be a 10 minute break in the middle of the meeting while ballots
are counted.
- Questions for Presenters will not be posed at the end of each presentation
but instead the Presenters will be available during the break and at
adjournment for questions and discussions.
- The competition has been expanded so that digital slides and film slides
will compete with each other in Novice, Amateur, and Advanced
categories.
- After the break, the meeting restarts with a digital slide interlude.
- Members are encouraged to bring items for sale to the meeting,
- Members going on photo/dive trips are encouraged to briefly mention dates
and locations during the meeting so that others can join the trip.
- One Photo Tip will be given by each of the 3 Photographers-of-the-Year
(Novice-Amateur-Advanced) at
each meeting..
